A Medical Illustrator is a person who finds passion in both science and art. They pay attention to details and are skilled at turning scientific data and discoveries into beautiful art to help communicate that science.
I offer medical illustrations which range from anatomy or surgery pieces to editorial covers and brochures. I can 2D/3D animations as well as 3D models. I also occasionally host fine art sales.
I have graduated from the longest standing medical illustration program in the country, Augusta University, once The Medical College of Georgia. There I had extensive training in accurately depicting anatomy and surgical procedures. Additionally I received schooling on proper patient education methods and techniques as well as a strong foundation in 3D modeling, printing and animating. Also through our student medical illustration service I have gained real world experience in working with teams to design medical training models, such as an eye model to train ophthalmology students.
My process involves crafting a visual metaphor to help capture your idea, from there we move to drafting a script and making storyboards to help paint a picture of what the animation will become. Finally with a few check-ins along the way to ensure satisfaction we will get your project animated.
